Have you ever watched an old documentary? Some of the new ones, like from History Channel, are way to quick and “cheap” in many respects.
This one, about a tunnel escape from West-Berlin to East, organized by three students, is interesting because it is old, not because it juggles with fact or describes sth. particularly well.
What we see: It is a tunnel, a tunnel, a tiresome tunnel, accompanied by tiresome music. It shows well how much work it must be to dig this tunnel, but it does not contextualise well, nor does it give us information about the biographies of the students involved in organizing the tunnel escape.
Make your way through this documentary to capture the Zeitgeist. But if you like to learn about this tunnel, a two page article about this project will suffice. And you need to read about the background of this particular NBC-documentary (the information on Wikipedia is not sufficient).
